By far worst experience I've had in my whole experience in the Florida keys. I'm the type of person that never writes a bad review and always tries to look at the positive of all experiences but the server never cracked a smile, took 45 min to get our drinks, the skirt steak tasted like you were drinking salt water. The waters came out out after the appetizers and not to mention my only regret was not getting up and leaving when the other 2 table did because of the lack of service. At the time we were 1 of the three tables at the restaurant.

Hands down the best food! Their hot sauce is amazing and I'm very sad I can't take it home with me. Their cheese dip and guacamole are also amazing but save room for your main meal because you'll be sorry if you're too full!

Great place! Nice staff, clean and inviting environment, big food portions. The seafood soup was delicious and the staff was attentive, courteous and knowledgeable about the area.

Amazing food!!!! Grew up in San Antonio and have desperately missed authentic Mexican food since I moved to Florida. Never expected to find it in the Keys! You have to eat here! Food was spectacular!

Rice and beans were good. Customer service was alright. My fish still had scales not sure if that's how a lot of people eat their fried fish but I did not like that.

Great restaurant! We are vegan and they were very accommodating. The food and service were excellent. A must if you are staying in Islamorada or just passing through!

My carne asada was well done instead of rare and cold , won't be going back.

Slow, however the food was great! No ambiance. They could add a little color and dress up the outdoor dining area.

Soupy beans and flavorless rice. Ordered enchiladas with hot sauce and my! how bland!

Very small portions, chips and salsa not included, If we hadn't asked for onions and cilantro our (tiny) enchiladas would've been very bland. Margarita was good.

Awesome, me and my family went to Key West for a Christmas vacation. We wanted seafood, but the place was too overpriced, So we went here to eat. It turns out the food was super good! I had a Burrito and it was packed with awesomeness. I really recomend this place for anyone who comes to key west!

We were looking for lunch on our way back to Miami and found this small gem...the ambience and decor is basic and we were skeptical once we entered...but the food more than made up for it...we tried the veggie quesadilla and the grilled chicken which were very good. .the rice that came with the grilled chicken was surprisingly delicious ...glad we stopped by!

This was absolutely the worst restaurant experience ever, no air conditioning in the height of summer in South Florida. We waited for 25 minutes for the most horrific margaritas without an ounce of tequila. The waiter spoke zero English and could no understand anything we requested including water. He could not have been more unhelpful, we left before tasting the food so I cannot comment. Will never return and do not recommend!

I have to say out of all the restaurants in the Keys this is by far my favorite and I've been to pretty much all of them living in Ft. Lauderdale my entire life. It may not be fancy but the food speaks for itself and the prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. We will definitely be coming back every time we come down.

I was very pleasantly surprised to discover an amazing Mexican restaurant in the Keys! Clearly it's not what the islands are known for, but they nevertheless are host to the gem that is Mexicana Morada. I ordered the tostadas, which were crunchy and flavorful. The decor and overall vibe of the place is very authentic and quaint, including a Spanish telenovela playing in the background. There are not many drinks available, aside from margs of course! But everything is delicious.

Being from Texas, I have pretty high standards for Mexican food. This place was delicious and the food presentation was excellent! Good place to stop!

4 stars because the grouper tacos and margaritas were delicious. But we requested to sit outside and they refused when there were plenty of open seats.

Food was great! Kinda seemed like the waitress was doing it all. Seating the customers when the bell at the door rang, and then disappearing to the kitchen to also cook the food? A little strange.

Tasty guacamole (homemade) with chips. The entire fish special (hogfish) was perfectly cooked. The meal comes with beans & rice. Worth the visit.

This was my second time visiting this area and I just love the food here.

Fresh guacamole, margarita on the rocks, grilled fish tacos- all EXCELLENT! Beautiful outdoor courtyard with palm trees and cafe lights. Great service. Affordable pricing. Go here! A refreshing spot amidst all the tourist traps.

Great Mexican food , good prices and a lot of food for your money

Been here last year with friends while driving back from Key West to Miami. Told myself that if I came back to Key West, I would have to come here again. Here I'm, after two hours drive from Key West coming here just for lunch.

There's better restaurants, no doubt, but dollar for dollar and for fantastic, affordable and delicious food I found this place while I was in Islamorada for a couple days fishing. Went in for a couple tacos and found they had a fresh, salted and deep fried yellow fin with sides for $24. Couldn't resist and had a great experience...all of my friends did also. The owner was gracious and friendly.

Authentic flavor excellent people!!! Feel like being in Mexico again.

A little worried when we arrived, not the fanciest looking place. The food however was very good. I had the combo fajitas...chicken, steak, and shrimp. Good size portion and tasted great. Kids split a chicken taco platter and loved it. Good service and very helpful.

I had the chicken chimichanga it was great. They don't offer chips and salsa which is a little odd for a Mexican restaurant but the food more than made up for it!

Even though the place is a little small it brings a big package with amazing food, great service, and fast timing

I'll have to say I eaten in a few supposedly good restaurants that were not, this place was awesome, quick in-and-out excellent food see you guys again soon.

Great food and proportions the only thing that could be changed is allow Seniors purchase from the Kid's menu.

The food wasn't great and it wasn't terrible. It was presented well. The margarita I had was actually horrible. It tasted like watered down orange-mango juice.

Place has authentic Mexico feel. Plenty of choices in good prices. I had asked for some mixes like tostada and tacos half n half, and lady was like noooo 😐They claim they are Mexican and not usual Tex max place.We loved the food. It was amazing.
